Founded by Franco-Justice Inc., the governing principle of Clinique Juridique Franco-Justice (CJFJ) is Equal Access to Justice by addressing shortcomings and barriers faced by francophones and racialize anglophones in Manitoba in accessing competent and culturally informed legal services.

 

We are a registered Civil Society Organization with the Law Society of Manitoba. We promote access to justice in French beyond legal information by offering linguistically, culturally and economically sensitive free legal services to francophone newcomers and settled francophones, ineligible for legal aid and at the same time less well-off to avail the legal services of private bar lawyers. We exceptionally offer the same free legal services to English-Speaking racialize communities, ensuring the continuum of needs of access to justice in Canada’s official languages are met. Thus, making us the first and only fully bilingual free legal clinic in Manitoba offering on the record legal services in Canada’s official languages.
